HONORING HIS SERVICE
On January 19, 1968, Corporal Bert Douglas Lefler made the ultimate sacrifice while serving with the United States Army in the Republic of Vietnam. He was 21 years old.
Bert’s name is permanently etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Panel 34E, Line 78. A place where a nation’s gratitude is carved into stone, and where a family’s love never expires.
Today, Coolbeaners honors CPL Lefler for his service, his courage, and his sacrifice. We speak his name clearly, because remembrance is a duty we can still carry.
