Service to Country

Ken Nopp proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
He embraced the discipline, brotherhood, and purpose the Corps instilled in him — and carried it throughout his life.


After Vietnam: A Life at Full Throttle

When his military service ended, Ken’s passion for engineering and speed found a home in motorsports and technical work. He spent much of his career as a machinist and mechanic, wrenching with precision and loving every part of it.

He was also a massive fan of:

  • NASCAR
  • Drag racing
  • Classic hot-rod builds
    The man could talk horsepower as fluently as Marines talk grit.

Family & Community

Ken is remembered with immense love by:

  • His wife, Rebecca Nopp
  • His daughte,r Kathy Nopp
  • His stepso,n Jeremy Kriger
  • Grandchildren and extended family who adored him deeply

He was known as loyal, mechanical, stubborn, funny, and one-of-a-kind — the type of man you’re always glad to have in your corner.


Final Honors

Ken will be laid to rest with full military honors at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.

Another Marine was welcomed into the ranks of eternal remembrance.

A Marine’s service doesn’t end with discharge paperwork.
Ken Nopp lived his entire life with the same loyalty and fire he gave in Vietnam.
