Paul Revere
A Man of Many Trades
Paul Revere was not just a rider.
He was:
- a silversmith
- a craftsman
- a patriot deeply tied to his community
But on the night of April 18, 1775, he became something more.
He became the warning.
The Signal in the Night
As British forces prepared to march toward Concord, a signal was arranged in Boston’s Old North Church:
“One if by land, two if by sea.”
The lanterns were lit.
The message was clear.
The British were coming.
The Ride
Revere rode into the night, carrying word across the Massachusetts countryside.
- Alerting militia along the route
- Knocking on doors in the dark
- Spreading urgency from town to town
He was not alone—others rode as well—but his name would carry the story.
A Mission Fulfilled
Revere was later captured before reaching Concord, but by then…
It didn’t matter.
The alarm had been sounded.
The militia were ready.
The moment had arrived.
More Than a Ride
His actions helped ensure that when the British reached Lexington and Concord…
They did not find surprise.
They found resistance.
Reflection
Before the first shot… there was a warning.
Paul Revere didn’t fight the battle.
He made sure it could be fought.
The Micky Spano Show proudly honors Paul Revere, Massachusetts Militia, as Veteran of the Day for April 30, 2026, remembering his courage, his urgency, and the message that helped ignite a revolution.
