HONORING HIS SERVICE
Private First Class Frank W. Bullock served with the 9th Infantry Regiment during one of the most difficult periods of the Korean War.
On February 12, 1951, PFC Bullock was killed in action during the fierce winter fighting in central Korea. At that time, United Nations forces were engaged in heavy combat following large-scale enemy offensives in the Hoengsong region. The fighting was intense, the terrain unforgiving, and the conditions brutal.
The Soldiers of the 2nd Infantry Division faced overwhelming pressure during this phase of the war. PFC Bullock stood his ground alongside his fellow Soldiers and made the ultimate sacrifice in service to his country.
His courage is part of the legacy of the 9th Infantry Regiment and the proud tradition of the United States Army.
